Cat House Adoption Policy

Please check the box if you have read and understand the statements below.

The Cat House reserves the right to refuse adoption to anyone. No animal will be released to persons with a known history or irresponsible pet ownership, or breeding animals for profit. No animal will be released to persons who mislead or fail to provide accurate information on this adoption application. 

The Cat House can only provide health information that is available at the time of adoption, and makes no verbal or implied guarantee as to the animal's health or disposition. All animals are examined and vaccinated upon entry, but the animal may be incubating a disease without showing any clinical signs. As the pet owner I assume ALL financial responsibility for any vaccines and medical treatment that this animal may need, for the duration of its life.

If allowed to adopt from the Cat House, I will comply with all state , county, and local laws in reference to pet care, confinement, and ownership. Any expenses incurred directly or indirectly by this animal are my responsibility and I will hold the Cat House harmless from such expenses.

If the animal does not work out in my home, he/she can and should be returned to the Cat House. This will be done only with adequate notice to the Cat House, and only after exploring reasonable solutions that would facilitate a successful adoption.

The work at our shelter is never done! Here are a few ways you can help out:

  • Share our pages, posts, and help spread the word about animals in need.

  • Donations of gently used supplies are always helpful! Any/all items accepted, if we can not make immediate use of them we will pass them along to someone who can.
